Bargain Brag Wednesday

October 26, 2011

I started work on my Halloween costume this past week--I'm going to be an owl. It's going to be super cute! And the whole thing cost me under $15 to make. And when I say "make" there isn't any sewing involved. Yay! I'll share more later, when the project is completed. We also recently did a $10 "curb appeal" makeover on our house's shutters. What a difference! They were faded, chipped blue monstrosities, and now they look almost-new. We opted to paint them black to match the feel of the other houses on our block, and add a little class to our small little house. And we love it! Can't wait to share pics of that, too. I love it when projects come together so nicely and don't cost much of anything at all! In other news, I just had my first sewing machine lesson! Yay! I think I could successfully thread my machine on my own now--thanks to a good friend/neighbor who showed me how to do it!
