Frames before:
After prepping my table with newspaper (lots and lots of newspaper), and making sure I had good ventilation, I laid out my frames, taped off the electrical parts of my lamp, and went to work. Helpful tip: when working with spray paint indoors, it's good to get some of those nose/mouth masks so you don't end up blowing black gunk out of your nose for the next couple of days. Also, something I didn't mention the last time, but had people ask me about—I used the type of spray paint that specifically listed metal (e.g. brass) and glass as surfaces it would adhere to.

I was again amazed at what a nice look the black paint gave everything. And I already had the can of spray paint, so this project ended up costing me nothing! You gotta love that!
