Save Money on Food

I came across this great article this morning on how to save money on food. With the economy like it is, food is still one of those things we have to have, but why pay more than we have to? In the article, Kiplinger Washington Editors, Inc. says, "According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the average American family of four spends $8,513 per year on groceries -- that's $709 per month! And many of us blow our budgets further on restaurant meals."

I admit it, we're guilty, too. Our schedules are packed as it is, and sometimes the easiest thing is to just go out and pick up something for dinner . . . whether it's in our budget or not. We try to be frugal and smart about these "extra" meal expenses, but it's still not the best use of money.

I found this article really simple and helpful, so hopefully you will too!
